We were once again reminded of the value in friendships/relationships as we unexpectantly met a dear couple at Big Daddy’s 50’s style restaurant, for the Tuesday night two-bit tuesday burger.
It was so encouraging to get caught up with them and to share the blessings, trials in this life; fully realizing that we all understand that we are not in control of this life, this world.

Also, it was rewarding to meet another couple, who have become dear friends, for our normal tuesday burger. There is something very special in a routine where your life is shared with others and it is done without regard or fear of anything being shared.

Three years ago I lost my closest friend, a man who accepted me as I am, not trying to influence my life, but just enjoy each other as friends. We had a true friendship, relationship. Two years ago I began to see a man wander from his faith, family, company, resulting in the destruction of many; this was a man that prayed with his company staff and then let them all down for personal gain. Last year I watched a man hold a spiritual community hostage as he pursued his personal, sexaul desires, devastating many and requiring many to accept his behavior. Today I realize these last two were acquaintances in life, not friendships, relationships. The true friendship, relationship is one where we protect each other, self sacrificing as our faith directs and sometimes that is hard.

During this past year we have had trusted, long term friendships, which we considered relationships, torn apart by narrastistic behavior, resulting in real “life” trauma for Linda, me and the Queen Anne. However, we know that true friendships/relationships do not damage others, but edify, uplift and encourage each other; we will hold on to that.

And, not to forget our precious Queen Anne customers; as we looked at the Mother’s Day week, the huge number of reservations during the week, the sold out Sunday. We saw “new” friendships/relationships in those who bring their loved ones for a special occasion. Thank you, may you see us as friends, desiring a relationship beyond serving a meal; Linda and I truly love serving each and everyone of you, bless you.

For those of you counting with me, 354 days until my medicare card…
